 The Communications & Research Manager will lead BBSN's global communications, content and market intelligence activity, playing a central role in strengthening engagement with member schools and Approved Agents worldwide. The role is responsible for further enhancing the BBSN brand through high-quality communications, insightful sector research and compelling digital content, while ensuring the Knowledge Hub within the members' portal remains current, relevant and highly valuable to users. 
 
Combining excellent copywriting and editorial skills with strong digital confidence and an informed understanding of international education markets, the Communications & Research Manager will support member engagement, brand visibility, and maintain the BBSN position as a trusted source of sector insights and professional connections across the global boarding school community. 
 

Key Responsibilities

1 Communications & Member Engagement
  • Research, write and distribute weekly member updates and communications using Hubspot CRM.
  • Develop and deliver targeted communication campaigns that strengthen member engagement and brand connection.
  • Design and manage HubSpot email workflows for member engagement and updates.
  • Partner with Heads of Department to produce high-quality communications, presentations and branded content that support departmental objectives.

4 Strategic Communications
  • Lead communications activity that strengthens BBSN’s strategic positioning, reputation and member engagement across global markets.

Essential Skills & Experience
  • Degree-level education in a relevant subject such as Marketing, Business, Communications, Journalism or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience working in a UK boarding school marketing, communications or admissions role, with a strong understanding of the boarding school sector and international student recruitment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear, engaging and professional content for a range of audiences and channels.
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, with experience adapting tone, style and messaging to maintain a consistent brand voice.

Agent Membership Coordinator - Job Description

Role Overview

Are you an administration professional with experience working in the UK boarding schools’ sector?
 
The Agent Membership Coordinator will play an important operational and administrative role within the Approved Agent Membership Programme, supporting the Agent Membership Manager in the day-to-day management, onboarding, compliance monitoring, and ongoing engagement of member agents worldwide.

This role is central to ensuring that member records, processes, references, and communications are managed efficiently and professionally. The successful candidate will help maintain high standards across the membership process, from initial application through to onboarding, renewals, and ongoing member support.

The role requires excellent organisational skills, strong attention to detail, confidence in communicating with international agents and school stakeholders, and a good understanding of compliance considerations relating to international student recruitment and child student sponsorship.

The Agent Membership Coordinator will also support digital systems administration, member onboarding, and event-related communications.
 
 

Key Responsibilities

1 Membership Administration & Support
  • Assist the Head of Department with the day-to-day administration of the Approved Agent Membership Programme.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within the membership database and systems.
  •  Record and maintain accurate application, interview, review meeting and compliance information within internal systems, supporting effective member management and regulatory oversight. 
  • Create and issue Certificates of Membership for Approved agents.
  • Conduct due diligence and background research on prospective member companies, supporting compliance reviews and risk assessment processes.
  • Support the agent reference-checking process, ensuring references are requested, received, recorded and followed up promptly.
  • Confidently contact schools, referees, and agents to chase outstanding references and documentation.
  • Support ongoing compliance monitoring processes to help maintain the integrity and professional standards of the Approved Agent Membership Programme.
  • Support the annual membership renewal process, including updating company details, implementing changes, and ensuring records remain accurate.
  • Update and maintain agent information within the Knowledge Hub and membership portal.

  • Deliver training on the members’ portal tools and member resources.

3 Digital Systems & Communications
  • Maintain accurate digital records within the company databases.
  • Assist with setting up emails, forms, workflows, and member communications in HubSpot CRM.

Qualifications & Experience
  • Demonstrable experience working within a UK boarding school admissions, international recruitment, membership or administrative role.
  • Good understanding of the international student recruitment landscape and the important role of education agents.
  • Knowledge and understanding of UKVI compliance requirements relating to Child Student sponsors and international student recruitment.
  • Understanding of the Agent Quality Framework and its application within the international education sector.
  • Experience managing administrative processes, records and documentation with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Confident using CRM systems, databases, Microsoft 365, Zoom and other digital platforms.
  • Experience using HubSpot or similar CRM and email marketing systems is desirable.

Are you an administration & support professional with experience of working in the UK boarding schools’ sector?
 

The Membership & Support Coordinator will play a key role in ensuring BBSN members receive a professional, responsive and high-quality membership experience. Acting as a central point of support for schools, agents and other stakeholders, the role contributes to the smooth delivery of membership services and helps ensure members derive maximum value from their involvement with the BBSN community.

The role focuses on member support, membership administration, CRM and portal maintenance, and the coordination of member communications and engagement activities across the organisation.

Reporting to the Head of Engagement & Digital Strategy, the postholder will help ensure digital systems, member processes and communication workflows operate efficiently, while delivering timely and effective support to members and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will maintain accurate membership records, support engagement initiatives and communications, assist with the administration and development of digital platforms, and help members access and maximise the benefits, services and resources available through BBSN.

 

Key Responsibilities

1 Member Support & Training
  • Act as the first point of contact for member enquiries via phone, email and web chat.
  • Provide timely, professional and helpful responses to membership-related queries.
  • Support members with portal access, logins, navigation and basic troubleshooting.
  • Maintain and update the members’ database to ensure accuracy and data integrity.
  • Assist in creating and updating user guides.

The role focuses on ensuring accurate data management, smooth delegate communication, and efficient event administration across all activities, including the British Boarding Schools’ Workshop (BBSW), Familiarisation (Fam) Trips, Networking Days, webinars, and other events and training initiatives.

This is a detail-focused and highly organised role, responsible for maintaining systems, supporting logistics, coordinating delegate administration, and ensuring a consistent and professional experience for all attendees and stakeholders.

The successful candidate will report to, and work closely with, the Head of Events & Training and wider team to support the smooth delivery of BBSN’s growing events and training programme and maintain the high standards associated with the organisation’s reputation and member experience.
 

Key Responsibilities

1 Event Administration & Coordination
  • Provide administrative support for the planning, coordination, and delivery of BBSN events, webinars, and training programmes.
  • Manage event registrations, bookings, appointment scheduling, and attendee records, ensuring all information is accurate, complete, and up to date.
  • Coordinate communications with delegates, schools, agents, exhibitors, speakers, venues, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding event requirements, logistics, deadlines, and schedules.

  • Maintain and update the BBSN IT system, member portal, and HubSpot CRM, ensuring all records are accurate, consistent, and compliant.
  • Create and update delegate, member, and event records, including adding new contacts and maintaining attendee information.
  • Review, validate, and update data from registration forms and event bookings to ensure data integrity.
  • Conduct regular data cleansing, audits, and quality checks to maintain accurate records and reporting.
  • Generate delegate lists, reports, contact information, event records, and related documentation as required.
  • Assist with the creation and management of HubSpot forms, workflows, automated communications, and event-related email campaigns.
  • Support reporting and analysis by ensuring event and delegate data is accurately captured and maintained.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to improve systems, processes, and operational efficiency.
 
3 Training & Member Support
  • Provide administrative support for training programmes, webinars, professional development activities, and member engagement initiatives.
  • Assist delegates with registration processes, booking systems, event access, and related enquiries.
  • Monitor attendance records and follow up with delegates where required.
  • Support speakers, trainers, schools, agents, and delegates throughout the planning and delivery of training and development activities.
  • Assist with the administration and development of new training programmes and member services.
 
4 General Administration & Team Support
  • Maintain accurate financial, registration, compliance, and health and safety records as required.
  • Assist with the preparation of presentations, reports, and other business documentation.
  • Support additional projects, initiatives, and events across the organisation as required.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the wider team to ensure the successful delivery of organisational objectives.
  • Contribute ideas and recommendations to improve services, systems, processes, and operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain a professional, proactive, and member-focused approach in all communications and interactions.
  • Attendance at events will not usually be required, as the role primarily provides remote support. However, there may be occasional opportunities to attend selected BBSN events in person.


Person Profile

Qualifications & Experience
  • Previous experience in an administrative, events, customer service, or coordination role is essential.
  • Previous experience working within the boarding schools' sector is essential to understand the needs of our members.
  • Experience managing databases, CRM systems, or booking platforms.
  • Confident user of Microsoft 365, Zoom, and digital systems.
  • Experience using HubSpot or similar CRM systems is desirable.
  • Experience of remote or hybrid working environments is beneficial.

Contract & Working Pattern

Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
Reporting to: Head of Events & Training
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 5pm (40 hours per week)
Flexibility: Evening and weekend work required during event periods
Location: Home-based in the UK.
Additional Requirement: Our company policy is no smoking or vaping due to the nature of events and venues
 

Salary & Benefits

Salary: From £25k + depending on skills and experience
Holiday Entitlement: 20 days per year, plus bank holidays and the office closure period between Christmas and New Year
