- Would you like to recruit more international boarders?
- Do you want to recruit a diverse range of nationalities for your boarding community?
- Are you looking for a cost-effective and time-saving way to meet 100 agents representing many different countries?
- Would you like to meet carefully selected, reference checked agents who work specifically with UK boarding schools?
The British Boarding Schools Workshop (BBSW) has a well-earned reputation for being the most successful way for UK school staff to meet face-to-face with many quality agents representing over 50 countries worldwide.
Over two days, school staff and agents have 28 pre-arranged 20 minute appointments, enabling them to meet personally with both new and existing partners. The meetings provide the opportunity for developing and enhancing long-term partnerships based on mutual trust and understanding. This is critical given the differences in nationalities and cultural backgrounds.
The Workshop was first held in Richmond, London in April 2006 and was very well received by agents and schools alike. The excellent reputation of the Workshop as a quality, targeted event has spread rapidly and it is now a well-established event in the sector's calendar, with two Workshops per year in March and November. The Workshop is now held at the Radisson Blu Edwardian Hotel, conveniently located at London's Heathrow International Airport.
This Workshop is the main event purely for worldwide educational agents and British boarding schools to meet face-to-face. Meetings in person provide the foundations for developing successful partnerships based on mutual understanding and trust. If you get contacted by hundreds of agents each year, how do you know who to work with until you have met them?
The BBSW was set up by Suzanne Rowse who had worked as the Marketing Director at a boarding school for 8 years. She believed schools needed a boarding focused event to facilitate the recruitment of overseas boarders. Suzanne now has more than 20 years' experience of schools marketing and is a regular conference speaker on international marketing strategy and developing effective relationships with agents.
The Workshop is probably the most cost-effective and time-saving way of establishing contacts in many different counties. Each Workshop involves 120 agents representing more than 50 different countries, including key recruitment markets:
Albania, Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belarus, Belgium, Bermuda, Brazil, Bulgaria, Caribbean Islands, China, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Georgia, Germany, Ghana, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, India, Iran, Italy, Ireland, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Korea (South), Kuwait, Kyrgystan, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Macedonia, Mexico, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Nigeria, Oman, Poland, Qatar, Romania, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tajikistan, Thailand, Turkey, Turkmenistan, UAE, UK, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.
